2022 so far …

After 2 years of lockdowns and much uncertainty for everyone, Bond has seen an incredible boom in sales this year as people play catch up. From new glamping businesses or existing clients adding
further safari tents, through to a growing desire for bespoke canvas structures for a wide range of outdoor hospitality venues such as exclusive dining venues, wedding locations and unique shooting lodges.

We have worked with a wonderful array of clients and installed at some incredible locations, below are just a couple of examples …

Bond 10 Years

Mike & Michelle Celebrate 10 yrs of ownership

Mike and Michelle Halliwell of Cheltenham bought the business back in summer 2012 and in the past 10 years Bond has gone from strength to strength … as have the structures! In the early days Mike & Michelle saw the market was in need of more robust structures designed for permanent use and so enlisted structural engineers to overhaul the original range. The result is an unrivalled range of high performance structures. Technology within the design and manufacture has vastly improved and continues to do so, clients have the benefit of a CAD led process with the ability to customise their projects along the way.

It remains very important to the Halliwells’s that Bond continues to fly the flag for British design and manufacture too, and the relationships they develop with clients are certainly for the long haul.

‘Its been a great 10 years and we are very proud of our family owned business, we have a few more grey hairs but we are looking forward to the next 10 years!’ Mike Halliwell.

  Question

Featured Question …

What fabrics are used for Bond Safari Tents?

So, the galvanised box section frames make up the bones of the structures and the roofs are constructed using a commercial grade textured PVC at a weight of 650gsm. Typically in olive green but other colours are available, this is a premium heavy-duty PVC (polyester coated woven fabric) and is fully waterproof with a fungicide coating making it ideal for many years of performance in the UK climate. We have also a higher UV rated alternative for clients in hotter climates.

The walls of our safari tents, and often the larger bespoke structures, are made using a blended polyester cotton woven canvas. Again this is a commercial grade and is 540gsm in weight. Designed for the UK climate this canvas is not only fully waterproof but also rot & mildew resistant. Typical colour choices are sand or olive, but again others are available. The clear element of the windows is of a much heavier weight than many other tents and so unsightly creasing is not a problem and the views are comparable with glass.

Its worth noting that we only use high performance materials that will give clients many years of use.
